Wilmington NC is located on the Cape Fear River on the West and the Atlantic Ocean on the East. The downtown historic district consists of 230 blocks near the Cape Fear River. Historic downtown offers shopping, restaurants, walking tours, horse drawn carriage rides, riverwalk, churches, museums, cruises and more. The USS NC Battleship is located directly across from downtown Wilmington.
